The opening address was made by Houry Papazian-Emmiyian, who said that the presence of the elderly, who deserve the respect of everybody, is a blessing for young people.

Students from three Armenian schools entertained the elderly with songs, poetry readings, and dances. Next, Lebanese-Armenian singer Karmen Adjemian performed various traditional Armenian songs.
Then, the representatives of the three Armenian Churches gave short speeches, praising the role of the elderly in the community.
