During the years 1998–2001, this project provided affordable housing to over 40 Armenian families.

The project ran under the umbrella of the three Armenian Churches in Lebanon. The apartments were registered in the name of one of the three churches.

The goal was to enable these families to become the owners of their apartments by paying off the cost of the apartments at minimal interest rates over a period ranging from 5 to 25 years. In the long-run, these families would feel safer by living in homes under healthy conditions, and would become more secure due to home ownership.

Additionally, some small-sized homeless families, as well as helpless, widowed, handicapped and/or elderly citizens are assisted with rental payment or provided with a shelter for free, whenever available.

Throughout the year, the JMP–L administration and staff members conduct follow-up work with the families: meetings, visitations, counseling as well as follow-up of monthly payments and repairs needed on the apartments.
